Senator vows to protect MILC

Plattsburgh, NY – New York Senator Charles Schumer is calling on the Bush administration to abandon its proposed plan to cut five-percent off of all farm subsidies. The Senator says the President's proposed cuts could mean New York dairy farmers would lose millions of dollars in payments from a milk subsidy program over the next two years. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.
