Kabul, Afghanistan – 17-hundred New York National Guard are in Afghanistan with the Combined Joint Task Force Phoenix. Sargent Brian Coons of the 27th National Guard Battalion is one of them, and spoke to WAMC's Katie Britton about his work with training the Afghan National Army at the Kabul Military Training Center.
