St. Lawrence Forum Yields Little New Info

Rhinebeck, NY – A forum about the proposed St. Lawrence Cement Greenport plant for Columbia County was held in Dutchess County last night. The Greenport plant is the largest industrial project to be proposed in New York under modern, environmental regulations. During a question-and-answer session, plant opponent Friends of Hudson's president challenged St. Lawrence officials to petition top state regulators for a certain ruling. WAMC's Hudson Valley Bureau Chief Allison Dunne was there, and filed this report.
