The Center for Research, Regional Education and Outreach at the State University of New York at New Paltz, the Hudson River Environmental Society, and the Hudson River Foundation are hosting the all-day symposium, intended to present the latest scientific understanding of the Hudson River and environs. There will be discussion on the drivers behind the science and future challenges. Speakers are addressing such topics as long-term ecological change, ecosystem restoration, Hudson River fish, sediments, contaminants, and archaeology. While most speakers hail from universities and institutes in New York, there will a speaker from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, in Massachusetts.
