Times Herald-Record Metro Editor Barry Lewis recently penned a column entitled “Sullivan's not entitled to the casino it deserves”. WAMC’s Hudson Valley Bureau Chief Allison Dunne spoke with Lewis about what has become a casino contest between the Catskills and Orange County, as five developers have proposed resort casinos for Orange — most only recently.

Location: Town of Wawarsing, just outside the village of Ellenville

Project description: More than 70,000 square feet of casino space, 446 luxury hotel rooms and suites, and a championship golf course.

Special features: Steakhouse grill, noodle bar, nightclub, spa, five miles of trails, restored ice rink and a helipad.

Price tag: More than $400 million
