Saugerties, NY – The Saugerties Town Board voted unanimously last night to oppose the siting of a casino in the town proposed for the Winston Farm. Town Supervisor Greg Helsmoortel had held several meetings with the casino interests when the plan first surfaced and even took steps to inform the public of the plan before developers wanted to announce it.
