Town Supervisor Gives Up His Insurance to Keep Library Open

Ticonderoga, NY – Cities, villages and towns across the country are trying to craft their budgets with as few cuts and loss of services as possible. But that's becoming increasing difficult. In Ticonderoga, New York, the library was at risk due to cuts. At least, until the town supervisor stepped in and made a unique offer to keep the library open. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.
