Upper Housatonic Valley Could Become National Heritage Area

Great Barrington, MA – An organization working to promote history and tourism of western Massachusetts and northwestern Connecticut got a boost earlier this week from the federal government. The House has approved a bill that would designate the Upper Housatonic Valley a National Heritage Area. The Senate is scheduled to vote on the House version of the bill in the coming months.
