WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST
SATURDAY...

* LOCATIONS...ALL OF EAST CENTRAL NEW YORK...SOUTHERN VERMONT
  AND WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 8 TO 12 INCHES IN THE
  WESTERN MOHAWK VALLEY...SOUTHERN ADIRONDACKS...LAKE GEORGE AND
  SARATOGA REGIONS. ACCUMULATIONS OF 8 TO 16 INCHES SCHOHARIE
  VALLEY...CAPITAL DISTRICT...EASTERN CATSKILLS...MID HUDSON
  VALLEY...TACONICS...AND SOUTHERN VERMONT. ACCUMULATIONS OF 12 TO
  18 INCHES IN WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS.

* MAXIMUM SNOWFALL RATES...SNOW RATES WILL OCCASIONALLY EXCEED ONE
  INCH PER HOUR TONIGHT AND EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW WILL BEGIN THIS MORNING...AND BECOME
  STEADIER AND HEAVIER BY LATE THIS AFTERNOON. THE HEAVIEST
  SNOWFALL WILL OCCUR ON THIS EVENING...BEFORE TAPERING OFF
  SATURDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...SNOW COVERED ROADS AND REDUCED VISIBILITY...
  FREQUENTLY BELOW 1 MILE...WILL MAKE FOR DANGEROUS TRAVEL.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH...
  ESPECIALLY IN SOUTHERN VERMONT AND WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...
SLEET...AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO
POSSIBLE.  THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.
