Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin is keeping up his skills as a deer hunter, bagging his second during his time in office.
Governor Shumlin shot the 5-point, 135-pound buck in Westminster West at about 7 a.m. Saturday.

In 2013 Shumlin bagged a 6-point buck on the opening day of Vermont's 16-day rifle deer season.

A photo posted to Shumlin's official Twitter account showed him posing with the deer carcass.

Shumlin has had a number of run-ins with wildlife during his years in office. In April 2012 he was chased by a mother bear and three cubs when he tried to scare them off his porch in East Montpelier.

Shumlin, a native of southeastern Vermont, recently returned to Westminster after living in East Montpelier during much of the time he spent in office.
