Vermont to Seek Disaster Assistance and Will Schedule Emergency Summit To Discuss Dairy Industry Despair

Montpelier, VT – Vermont Governor Jim Douglas is calling for an emergency dairy summit and is also seeking federal disaster assistance to help the state's farmers deal with what he calls a perfect storm of low milk prices, high fuel costs and bad weather.
