Vermont Senator Jim Jeffords announces Retirement

South Burlington, VT – Vermont U-S Senator Senator Jim Jeffords surprised many Wednesday afternoon when he announced that he would not seek re-election to a fourth term. Jeffords cited his own health and his wife's cancer chemotherapy in making his decision. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has reaction to Jeffords' announcement.
