Vermont Unemployment Up To 4.1 Percent

The Vermont Department of Labor says the state's unemployment rate is up four-tenths of one percent to 4.1 percent, the third increase in three months.

Labor Commissioner Annie Noonan says at 4.1 percent, Vermont's unemployment rate is well below the national average of 6.1 percent. She said it is expected that revised data will confirm improvements in the Vermont economy in 2014 when compared to 2013.

Unemployment in Vermont's 17 labor markets ranged from a low of 2.9 percent in Hartford to 5.3 percent in Bennington.
