Viewing Party For Fallon Debut As Late Night Host

Students at an upstate college are planning a TV "viewing party" Monday.

College of Saint Rose Students, faculty and staff will gather late Monday night at the Touhey Forum for a Student Association-sponsored viewing party to watch on the big screen and cheer as Saint Rose alumnus and Saugerties native Jimmy Fallon debuts as host of NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

Courtney Carr is Director of Communications for the Student Association:  "What we'll be doing is we're showing the Tonight Show, obviously when Jimmy takes over. And before that, we're going to show his commencement footage from when he spoke at commencement in 2009, and that will warm up the crowd up to it, and then we're going to play the show."

Fallon graduated from Saint Rose in May 2009 after he completed the requirements for a bachelor of arts degree in communications.
