November is National Diabetes Month. Joining us on this Medical Monday to talk about the disease that afflicts more than 25 million Americans, is endocrinologist Dr. Gregg Gerety and NBA legend Dominique Wilkins.
Joining us today on Medical Monday to talk about endocrinology is Dr. Gregg Gerety.
After graduating from the University of Vermont, Dr. Gerety went to medical school at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. He studied internal medicine in Albany, and completed his fellowship in endocrinology at Yale in 1988.
Board-certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, Dr. Gerety is a past-president of the American Diabetes Association - New York State affiliate. WAMC's Alan Chartock hosts.
Joining us today to talk pediatrics is Dr. Richard Solby – a practicing pediatrician in Johnstown, New York. He comes to us from Nathan-Littauer hospital, and has a passion for health, wellness, and fitness. Dr. Solby is also an outspoken advocate for the prevention of childhood obesity. Alan Chartock hosts.
