VT Police Probe Dummerston Fire That Killed Two

Officials say two people are dead following an early morning fire in the southern Vermont town of Dummerston.

The fire, reported at about 5 a.m. Monday, was contained to the single family home on School House Road. It was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived.  

The Vermont State Police says Russell Nutbrown, age 90, and Russell’s son, Barry Nutbrown, age 57, were found dead inside the residence.

The fire is not considered suspicious, pending the results of autopsies.
