Yo-Yo Ma plays with the ASO on 1/12

The legendary cellist, Yo-Yo Ma, will join the Albany Symphony Orchestra on Saturday night in a special one-night event at the Palace Theater. Ma will perform the Dvorak Cello Concerto. The performance will also include "Elegy" by John Williams.
Ma is a worldwide-acclaimed cellist and virtuoso. Recipient of 16 Grammy Awards, the National Medal of Arts in 2001 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011, among other awards, Ma performs as solo artist, with orchestras worldwide, in recital and chamber music activities and as Artistic Director of the Silk Road Project.
