WAMC's The Roundtable is an award-winning, nationally recognized eclectic talk program. The show airs from 9am to noon each weekday and features news, interviews, in-depth discussion, listener call-ins, music, and much (much) more! Hosted by Joe Donahue and produced by Sarah LaDuke, The Roundtable tackles serious and lighthearted subjects, looking to explore the many facets of the human condition with civility, respect and responsibility.

The show's hallmark is thoughtful interviews with A-list newsmakers, authors, artists, sports figures, actors, and people with interesting stories to tell. Since hitting the airwaves in May of 2001, The Roundtable has interviewed the likes of Arthur Miller, Kurt Vonnegut, Maya Angelou, Madeleine Albright, Jimmy Carter, John McCain, Bob Dole, Bill O'Reilly, Steve Martin, James Taylor, Bill Cosby, Stephen King, Melissa Etheridge and lots of other really cool people. Plus, Wilco does our theme song. What more can you ask for?

Roomful of Teeth at MASS MoCA

Tonight at 8pm, Roomful of Teeth will perform in Club B-10 at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA.

Roomful of Teeth is a vocal octet dedicated to re-imagining singing in the 21st century. Through study with vocal masters from non-classical traditions the world over, Roomful of Teeth expands their vocabulary of singing techniques. Through an on-going commissioning project, they invite today’s brightest composers to create new repertoire.

Restoration Funstival 2012

This year’s Restoration Funstival – taking place at St. Joseph’s Church in Downtown Albany September 7th through the 9th – is poised to be the best RestFest yet.

St. Jopseph’s was dedicated in 1860, held its last service in 1993, and in 2003, ownership was transferred to Historic Albany Foundation.

Evanescence at Tanglewood

Shakespeare and Company - Satchmo at the Waldorf

Satchmo at the Waldorf is a new one-man play by Terry Teachout. It runs at Shakespeare and Company’s Tina Packer Playhouse through September 16th.

The play takes us to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in March of 1971 as jazz-great, Louis Armstrong, prepares for what will be his last performance. The production is directed by Gordon Edelstein, the award-winning Artistic Director of the Long Wharf Theatre, and stars OBIE Award winning actor, John Douglas Thompson.

We are joined now by Terry Teachout and John Douglas Thompson.
