Monday - Friday, 2pm - 3pm

Vox Pop is WAMC's live call-in talk program. Guests with expertise in areas ranging from Astronomy to George Washington speak with WAMC's hosts and answer questions posed by WAMC listeners. We also have a number of forums and guests who are regulars to Vox Pop such as our Science Forum and Gardening program.

Every Monday is a "Medical Monday."  Every Friday is a "Food Friday."

Yesterday marked a sad day for both our region and Massachusetts capital city as three people perished and hundreds of others were injured in what has been described by officials as an act of terror.

Today could mark a big step towards reforming gun control policies across the nation as U.S. Senate Democrats meet with their Republican counterparts to try and broker a deal on legislation filed yesterday following a GOP filibuster threat.

Also in Washington today are 11 relatives of the victims of the December shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. They will be meeting with legislators and pushing for reforms.

Major League Baseball kicked off the 2013 season this week with near perfect pitching, big hits, and big wins.

The LA Dodger’s Clayton Kershaw pitched a complete shut out in his first outing of the season, not to mention his walk off home run to win the game. The powerhouse New York Yankees, depicted on the cover of the New Yorker as geriatric patients, lost to the rival Boston Red Sox. But, the New York Mets won their opening salvo with a commanding 11 to 2 runs scored over the San Diego Padres.
