The program is hosted by WAMC Senior Correspondent Brian Shields who has been with WAMC for 24 years as senior news anchor, host and reporter.

Environmental Groups Weigh-In On NY DEC Draft Invasive Species Regulations

Environmental groups are weighing in on proposed regulations by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to halt the spread of invasive species. 

The New York State Department of Conservation is currently accepting comments on proposed regulations that identify specific invasive species of plants, algae, animals, insects, and fungi and supply language on how those species should be handled to halt or limit their spread, which cause harm to native species in New York and beyond.

"Coasters For Hope" Program Launches In Capital Region

Local officials gathered with advocates for families of missing children to mark the launch of a new program to help find Capital Region missing persons.

At the DeCrescente Distributing Company in Mechanicville, Capital District Republican Assemblyman James Tedisco, Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy, and others announced “Coasters for Hope,” a new pilot program to help find missing persons in the Capital Region.
