A man in Adams, Massachusetts wanted by police apparently killed himself as officers arrived to arrest him.

The Berkshire Eagle reports that 27-year-old Michael C. Jimenez was at his home at about 9 p.m. Friday when state troopers arrived after receiving a tip that a person with outstanding arrest warrants from Hampden Superior Court and Springfield District Court was there.

Jonathan Butler, Adams Town Administrator, said that that the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail – an 11.2 mile railroad corridor turned bike path that runs from Lanesborough up through Adams – has had an impact on the town’s economy that he calls “nothing short of significant”.
