KINGSTON – The HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley president and CEO since November 2008, David Lundquist, has resigned from the Kingston-based organization.

Lundquist’s resignation was in effect Tuesday, July 23.  The hospital board accepted it on Thursday.

Along with the board of directors’ announcement of his stepping down, it announced the appointment of David Scarpino as acting president and CEO.

Scarpino joined Kingston Hospital in 2006 as chief financial officer, and in 2009 was appointed chief financial officer of HealthAlliance.

Albany Medical Center has revealed the finishing phase of its ongoing 500-million dollar neighborhood revitalization  plan. When the old neighborhood surrounding Albany Med is completely rebuilt, it will cap what officials call "the transformation of New Scotland Corridor" - becoming a new community.

Dr. Matthew Adamo specializes in general and pediatric neurosurgery, including surgical treatment for epilepsy, brain and spinal cord tumors, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries and congenital and developmental abnormalities, such as spina bifida.

Today on Medical Monday, to answer your questions on radiology and related issues of is Dr. Gary Siskind, professor and chair of radiology at Albany Medical Center.

A graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, New York, he completed his residency in radiology at Kings County Hospital Center, in Brooklyn.

Also in practice with Community Care Physicians, Dr. Siskin is a certified diplomate of the American Board of Radiology, through which he also has a certificate of added qualification in vascular and interventional radiology. WAMC's Alan Chartock hosts.

An assistant professor of medicine and pediatrics at Albany Medical Center, and assistant professor in the Center for Immunology and Microbial Disease at Albany Medical College, she specializes in food allergies, allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, asthma, drug allergy and allergy testing.

Joining us on this edition of Medical Monday on Vox Pop to discuss cardiology and women’s heart health is Dr. Kim Poli of Albany Medical Center’s cardiology group.

Dr. Poli is a non-invasive cardiologist with special interests in preventative care and treating women with heart disease. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Poli reads echocardiograms and performs stress tests.
