Aaron Jay Kernis

We welcome Pulitzer Prize winning composer, Aaron Jay Kernis. He'll be part of the ASO’s Composer to Center Stage initiative, which continues a commitment to advancing new music. Funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the program is in its third year of a three-year collaboration between the ASO and several nationally acclaimed and emerging composers.

Jeremy Spindler

He was selected by the Albany Symphony as one of three finalists in the Composer to Center Stage Reading Session Competition and will join the orchestra for the American Music Festival to take part in professional development and to have his work read by an orchestra.
