Winslow Homer: The Nature and Rhythm of Life is a new exhibition at the Arkell Museum at Canajoharie. It will be on display through January 4, 2015.

Bartlett Arkell, the founder and first president of the Beech-Nut Packaging Company, brought Homer’s paintings and watercolors to his hometown of Canajoharie for the enjoyment of its citizens.

From Giverny to the Brooklyn Bridge: American Impressionist Paintings from the Arkell Collections is currently on display at The Arkell Museum in Canajoharie. The exhibition features remarkable American Impressionist paintings - sun-dappled views of France and America by Childe Hassam, John Twachtman, Theodore Robinson, J. Alden Weir, and Edward Redfield are among the notable paintings in this exhibition.

There is a curator’s talk about the exhibition this weekend.

Museum Director and Chief Curator, Diane Forsberg, and Library Director, Leah Lafera join us now to talk about that and other goings-on at The Arkell.
