Capitol Steps

  The Capitol Steps began in 1981 as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them.

Since they began, the Capitol Steps have recorded over 30 albums, including their latest, Mock the Vote. They've been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS, and can be heard twice a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their Politics Takes a Holiday radio specials.

  Today's panelists are WAMC’s Alan Chartock and Newsman Ray Graf and special guest Elaina Newport - producer, original cast member, and one of the founders of The Capitol Steps.  

The Capitol Steps are at The Cranwell Resort in Lenox for the summer with performances through September 1. 

Lets face it, a presidential election year is a very good time to see the award-winning musical satire group, Capitol Steps. Not there is a bad time. Cap Steps has returned to Cranwell Resort, Spa and Golf Club in Lenox for their sixth consecutive summer and will play through now through September 2nd.
