Vermont State Police say they have found child pornography on the computer of a woman charged with killing a popular Vermont prep school teacher.

Documents filed in the case against Patricia Prue say investigators also uncovered forensic evidence showing the computer was used to conduct research on kidnapping.

A 22-year-old Pittsfield man already facing charges of raping children and forcing them to pose nude for him is facing additional charges of possession of child pornography. WAMC’s Lucas Willard reports…

The Berkshire Eagle reports that Robert Labarre, who was living in a tent in the woods before his arrest, was arraigned on Tuesday in Berkshire Superior Court on 14 charges, including two counts of rape of a child with force.

The New York State Senate is expected to take action today to close a loophole in the state’s child porn laws. The bill was introduced just days after a recent court of appeals ruling which threw out a conviction against a former college professor who was found to have child porn on his work computer. The court ruled viewing the images did not constitute possession or procurement. The bill has been introduced in the state Senate by Republican Martin Golden of Brooklyn, who spoke with WAMC’s Brian Shields.
