Several upstate newspapers may be going up for sale.

Digital First Media of New York City, which counts among its ownings the Troy Record, the Saratogian, the Berkshire Eagle, and the Kingston Daily Freeman, said Friday it is looking into selling all or parts of the company.

The Times Union reports Digital Media is exploring its options, evaluating “strategic alternatives” for its news business, and that the alternatives may include a sale of all or parts of the company.  The Record building in Troy is already up for sale.
