Berkshire Voters to Choose Middle Register of Deeds in Democratic Primary

Tomorrow, Massachusetts voters will head to the polls to vote in the September 6th Democratic Primary. And in Berkshire County, primary voters will also choose a new Middle Berkshire Register of Deeds. WAMC's Berkshire bureau Chief Lucas Willard has an eye on the closely watched race....

The Register of Deeds position itself manages and records all deeds, land titles, and land records for a district within the Commonwealth. It is an elected and not appointed position.

McEneny Declines Party Endorsement, Won’t Seek Reelection

After 40 years in government and 20 years in the New York State Assembly, Jack McEneny has declined the Democratic Party's endorsement for another term...

"I think after 20 years, it's time.  There must be something magical about the number.  Congressman McNulty made it 20 years and Senator Nolan hit 20 years. Now I have my 20 years.  I think it's time to pass the torch."
