A theatre company in the Hudson Valley is teaming up with the Culinary Institute of America for new offering.

Poughkeepsie-based Half Moon Theatre and the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park are collaborating on a dinner theatre type venture. Molly Renfroe Katz is executive director of Half Moon.

“We say it’s dinner theatre on steroids,” says Renfroe Katz. “We’re thrilled about the pairing of courses. It’s the art of theatre and the art of gastronomy paired. And we’re so excited about that.”

Sometimes the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.  That’s the case at Lake George Dinner Theatre where a terrific package of entertainment awaits you.

You might attend a better play than “The Love List” which is playing at the Lake George Dinner Theatre through Oct. 20.  You might also go to a fancy expensive restaurant and have a better meal than is served at the Lake George Holiday Inn Resort that hosts LGDT.

The Lake George Dinner Theatre is celebrating its 45th season the professional theater company presents Norm Foster’s The Love List through Oct. 20 at Holiday Inn Resort in Lake George.

The comedy tells the story of two friends who make a list of the traits they consider important in an ideal female companion and the trouble that ensues when they actually meet a woman who fits the bill.
