Wilson Throws Three Touchdowns In Seahawks Win

Dec 3, 2013

The Seattle Seahawks are the first NFL team to clinch a playoff berth after defeating New Orleans 34-7. Russell Wilson threw for 310 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. Wilson also was the Seahawks' top rusher, carrying eight times for 47 yards as Seattle improved to a league-best 11-1.

The Saints were held to 12 first downs and 188 total yards in their worst loss of the season. Drew BreesĀ  completed 23 of his 38 passes, but they were good for just 147 yards.

In the NFL, Drew Brees threw a pair of touchdown passes and the New Orleans Saints overcame a lackluster offensive showing in handing the Atlanta Falcons their fifth straight loss, 17-13. Brees hooked up with Jimmy Graham on a 44-yard touchdown and Benjamin Watson on a 1-yard scoring play, both in the first half. That was good enough to give the first-place Saints a sweep of their season series with their NFC South rivals. Atlanta was considered a preseason pick to make the playoffs, but instead has seen its season spiral downward.

In the NFL, Terrell Thomas returned an interception 65 yards to set up a go-ahead 1-yard touchdown run by Andre Brown as the Giants topped the Raiders 24-20. Brown rushed for 115 yards in his first game of the season to help New York win its third straight.
