One, and possibly two, could be constructed in the Sullivan-Ulster area.
Charles Degliomini, vice president of Empire Resorts, which is planning a casino-resort at the former Concord Hotel site in Kiamesha Lake, said his company will be filing an application for a casino.
ALBANY – Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the legislation on Tuesday that will now put the issue of legalizing casino gaming before voters in November.
TOWN OF THOMPSON – The $600 million destination resort project planned by EPR Properties and Empire Resorts Wednesday night won the unanimous approval of the Thompson Town Planning Board.
Town Supervisor Anthony Cellini said afterwards that the approval is “monumental,” given the statewide casino gaming referendum to come before the general public in November.
