Science, technology, engineering and math are the focus of a career fair in Pittsfield today.

Roughly 400 high school students had the chance to speak to representatives from more than 30 companies, colleges and governmental agencies highlighting careers in the STEM fields. Judith Monachina works in career services at Berkshire Community College, which hosted the fair.

Defense contractor General Dynamics has announced it is cutting its Vermont workforce by 35 employees.

Sen. Warren Wraps Up Berkshire Visit

U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren wrapped up her trip across Massachusetts in the western part of the state today. The Democratic Senator’s visit included a tour of defense manufacturer General Dynamics’ site in Pittsfield. Senator Warren says the plant is making innovative gains in military manufacturing and research to save the country money while still keeping it safe.
