Question of the Day - Violence in Entertainment?

Actor and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger held a press conference this weekend to dismiss suggestions that violent movies and video games are to blame for gun massacres such as the recent killing of 20 children in Connecticut.

Mass. Legislative Leaders Eye Gun Laws in New Session

Massachusetts already has some of the nation's toughest gun laws, but legislative leaders see room for improvement.

House Speaker Robert DeLeo on Wednesday asked Jack McDevitt, an associate dean at Northeastern University, to lead a special commission on gun violence, with a possible focus on keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill.

Keeping Schools Safe

NYS Education Commissioner John King released a statement Friday lamenting the mass shooting at Sandy Hook elementary school in Connecticut. King said, “Our schools are meant to be safe havens where children can learn, free from fear and violence.”
