Filling technology jobs in the Capital Region remains a challenge, but employers are seeing some improvement in hiring and feeling more optimistic about job growth, according to the latest Linium Hiring Index. WAMC's Capital Region Bureau Chief with Linium Recruiting's managing director Miriam Dushane about the Spring 2017 survey.

Coffee and bagels were provided to students and guests Wednesday morning at the TEC-SMART Campus in Malta, where high schoolers get a jumpstart on a career through the Clean Tech Early College High School program. 

A recently announced New York state grant program aims to form 16 public-private partnerships to prepare students for high-skill jobs. 

Leading companies across New York in areas of manufacturing, clean technologies, healthcare, and other sectors are teaming up with high schools and community colleges in an effort to train students for the high-skill jobs in their area.
