Kobe Bryant

It’s a new era for the NBA. The Golden State Warriors have set the NBA record for wins in a season, finishing 73-9 with a 125-104 rout of Memphis. Stephen Curry drained 10 3-pointers while scoring a game-high 46 points. The Warriors broke the previous victory mark of 72 set by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.

Los Angeles Lakers guard and 17-time All-Star Kobe Bryant says he will retire after the season, making the announcement in a post on The Players' Tribune on Sunday. He says his heart and mind can handle another season, but his body knows it's time to say goodbye. The 37-year-old Bryant ranks third on the NBA's career scoring list with more than 32,000 points and has won five NBA titles and two Olympic gold medals.
