Republican U.S Senator Scott Brown and his Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren will square off tonight in their 3rd  debate in the volatile Massachusetts Senate Race.  WAMC”s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill reports

The debate will take place at Springfield Symphony Hall at 7PM. It is the  only debate being held in the western part of the stat. And, it is the most crucial of the four debates in the opinion of  Springfield based political consultant Anthony Cignoli.

The two candidates in the closely watched U.S. Senate race in Massachusetts had a combative debate Monday night.  In their second face to face showdown, Republican incumbent Scott Brown and Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren  aggressively clashed on several issues.    WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill reports.

   Republican Incumbent US Senator Scott Brown questioned Democratic challenger’s Elizabeth Warren’s character, saying she had been dishonest in claiming to be of Native American heritage. He said the policies she advocates would result in a crushing jobs killing tax burden.

Union officials who gathered in western Massachusetts Friday for a Labor Day observance said they were energized by President Obama’s  Thursday night speech at the Democratic National Convention.  The task for the labor leaders now is to convince union households not to desert the  Democratic party as the economy continues to struggle.  WAMC”S Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill reports.
