In men’s college basketball, Mount Saint Mary’s beat Robert Morris 88-71 in the NEC title game championship game to earn an NCAA tourney berth. Milwaukee defeated Wright St. in the Horizon League’s title game to head to the dance. North Dakota St. won against IPFW 60-57 in the Summit League title game to earn an NCAA tournament bid.

In the NBA, Boston beat Detroit in overtime 118-111, Brooklyn bested Sacramento 104-89, it was Toronto over Minnesota 111-104, Golden State trumped Phoenix 113-107, Dallas topped Indiana 105-94, New Orleans out shot Denver in overtime 111-107, Chicago edged Miami 95-88, The LA Lakers beat Oklahoma City 114-110, and Houston defeated Portland in overtime 118-113.

The Albany Convention Center Authority was created in 2004. Now,  a decade later, the Albany Convention Center plan is headed toward fruition. The idea for building an Albany Convention Center has been floating around for more than a decade, seeded in outgoing Mayor Jerry Jenning's "Capitalize Albany" plan.

The NCAA is taking another look at Albany, and now city and county officials are scrambling to provide necessary amenities and roll out the welcome mat.

After all the upsets in the NCAA men's basketball tournament, the top overall seed has captured the championship. Louisville defeated Michigan 82-76. Teammate Kevin Ware was the last Louisville player to cut down the nets just over a week after he suffered a broken leg in the game against Duke. The Wolverines appeared to have the game in control after Tim Hardaway Jr.'s layup put them ahead 35-23 with about 3 1/2 minutes left in the first half. But the Cardinals led by as many as 10 in the second half en route to their first championship since 1986.

In the men’s NCAA basketball tournament, we are finally down to the last two teams. Over the weekend Syracuse fell to Michigan 61-56 and Louisville defeated Wichita St. 72-68. The two teams will square off tonight at 9:23 for the title in Atlanta, Georgia.

In the women’s NCAA basketball tournament, there will be an all-Big East title game on Tuesday after Louisville and Connecticut advanced last night. UConn ended Notre Dame's team-record 30-game winning streak whipping the Irish 83-65 and the Cardinals knocked off California 64-57.
