The Mac-Haydn Theatre is celebrating their 46th season, producing a series of first-rate musicals each summer season. Their upcoming production is The Full Monty.

The show brings us to Buffalo, NY, where the steel mill has closed and the guys are out of work. They’ve hit rock bottom, until, encouraged by a show their wives are enjoying, they come up with a scheme to ‘bare it all’, and get back on their feet.

The Full Monty runs from August 21st through the 31st. Today we meet George Dvorsky and Monica Wemitt, who will be appearing as Harold and Vicki Nichols in the show.

The final show on The Nikos Stage at the Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer is a magical lo-fi musical storytelling feat created and co-directed by PigPen Theatre Co. - The Old Man and the Old Moon runs from August 6th to August 17th.

PigPen Theatre Co. began creating their unique brand of music, film, and theatre as freshman at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama in 2008. They have produced their original plays Off-Broadway and at regional theaters around the country.

Smokey Joe’s Café - a musical revue featuring primarily the songs of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. It has the distinction of being longest running revue on Broadway.

Better than that, though, it has just a ton of incredibly fun and iconic songs.

Gypsy: A Music Fable features classic Broadway belt-ables like “Everything’s Coming Up Roses,” “Some People,” and “Rose's Turn.” The show opened on Broadway in 1959 and features a book by the late Arthur Laurents, music by the late Jule Styne, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. This production at CapRep runs through Sunday, April 13th.

The hit musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Matilda is currently running on Broadway at The Shubert Theatre. The show, which was first staged and is still running in London, features a book by Dennis Kelly and music and lyrics by Tim Minchin.

Matilda is the story of an extraordinary young girl whose voracious reading habits help her to dream of a better life - as her current life is full of bullies and disregard for her well being - starting from the moment she’s born when her mother, Mrs. Wormwood played by Lesli Margherita, declares: "This the worst day of my life!"

Emmy Award-winning television and theater writer, Glen Berger, is the author of the new book Song of Spider-Man: The Inside Story of The Most Controversial Musical in Broadway History.

The book follows the troubled production of the Julie Taymor-directed and U2-orchestrated Broadway show Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, which was plagued from the beginning by technical difficulties. Berger was the co-writer of the play, and is here to tell us about how he got the job, what went right and what went very, very wrong.

Hooray for Captain Spaulding! The intrepid African explorer, inveterate womanizer, and interminable jokester hobnobs with high society as the guest of honor at a swanky soiree. But when a priceless painting is pilfered, he and the guests are swept up in a screwball search for the thief.

The Williamstown Theatre Festival production of Animal Crackers overflows with mirthful melodies, dynamite dancing, and seriously silly slapstick. Animal Crackers brings a new interpretation of the Marx Brothers’ hit Broadway musical and classic film to the Main Stage.

The show is adapted and directed by Henry Wishcamper and the nine-person cast portrays 21 roles. Henry Wishcamper joins us this morning.
