The first Martel Musical of New York York Stage and Film and Vassar College'sPowerhouse Theatre's 28th Season is The Fortress of Solitude - the play is based on Jonathan Lethem's best-selling novel of the same name. The show is conceived of and directed by Daniel Aukin, with music and lyrics by Michael Friedman and book by Itamar Moses. Andrew Rannells originated the role of Elder Price in the Tony Award winning musical, The Book of Mormon. He left the show recently, after more than a year on Broadway, and will appear on the NBC comedy, The New Normal, which premieres in September, and in the second season of Girls when it returns to HBO. The first season's finale aired on June 17th.
