High Percentage of Vermonters Not Claiming Tax Refund

Burlington, VT – The Internal Revenue Service says nearly 21-thousand Vermonters who filed early tax returns did not request a one-time refund of a telephone excise tax. Vermonters may qualify for the tax refund but may not know about it. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.

Committee Rewriting State Campaign Finance Law

Montpelier, VT – Committees in the Vermont Legislature are working to get critical legislation to their chamber floor for cross-over to the opposite chamber by the end of the day. Early this afternoon, a campaign finance reform package made it out of a Senate committee for cross-over.
