Great Barrington, Ma – The Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation has been helping charities and non-profits in the region for over 20 years. In 2008, they were able to disperse more money to charitable foundations than ever before.

Berkshires – The two major medical providers in Berkshire County have each had good news recently. Berkshire Medical Center has been awarded a Health Grades Certification that only one other hospital in the Commonwealth received, and Northern Berkshire Health was awarded a grant from the state for essential community services.

Sheffield, Ma – Mt Everett School in Sheffield, Massachusetts, is participating in an exchange program with Egypt. Students from Sheffield got the chance to live in Egypt for over 2 months, and in return 12 Egyptian students are staying in Sheffield for about 2 weeks.

Lenox, Massachusetts – The Shakespeare Theatre Association of the Americas held its annual conference at Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, Massachusetts. Over 150 people were in attendance representing all 50 states as well as Canada, Mexico and Great Britain.
