MA Nurses Rally Behind Staffing Bill

Boston, MA – Members of the Massachusetts Nurses Association are using a new survey to push legislation that would mandate a minimum ratio of nurses to patients in the hospital setting. The nurses say staffing mandates will save lives while administrators fear strict guidelines will cause health care delays and may even force hospital closures. Act 60 Revisions Signed

Montpelier, VT – The latest effort to reform the way Vermont pays for schools has been signed into law. The replacement for Act 60 is a new system that taxes residential homes at rates different from businesses and other properties. MA Governor Romney Seeks Publisher

Boston, MA – John McCain did it...Hillary did it...now Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney hopes to join them. Newspapers in Boston and Salt Lake City are reporting that the Massachusetts Governor is close to a signing publishing deal for a new autobiography.
