Injured Workers Protest In Albany

Albany, NY – Hundreds of workers who were injured on the job, or hurt during
the attack of 9/11 in NYC , came to Albany to protest. They say
the Pataki administration is cutting health care and workers
compensation at a time when it is needed the most. WAMC's Brian Shields reports.

Highway Cited:Terror Concern to Nudge Assembly Action

Plattsburgh, NY – An anti-terrorism bill was passed last month in the NYS Senate, but has yet to see movement in the Assembly. At a stop in Queensbury yesterday, Lieutenant Governor Mary Donahue pressed for Assembly action, and pointed to the Adirondack Northway as an example of a potential pipeline for terror activity that could be better monitored if the bill is passed More from North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley.

National Shrine of Divine Mercy Prays for Peace.

Stockbridge, MA – Everyday, for the last 70 years, the bells have rung on Eden Hill in Stockbridge at the Marian Fathers' National Shrine of Divine Mercy. Those bells have taken on added significance now that our country is at war and Father David Lord, rector of the National Shrine, has invited all who hear them to pray for peace and calm in the world. Berkshire Bureau Chief Arlen Cellana spoke with Father Lord and asked him how the Marian Fathers view this war.

Saddam Hussein

top Iraqi officials, were in the compound in southern Baghdad that
