ALBANY – A total of $30 million was announced Thursday in the first round of funding for the implementation of regional sustainability plans, including the Hudson Valley that which was formulated as part of the Cleaner, Greener Communities program statewide.

Federal observers will be at polling places Tuesday in Orange County in the Hudson Valley based on a federal court order over concerns about the voting rights of Puerto Rican voters with limited English.
