Rockland Legislators Condemn Act Of Hate

Rockland County legislators are expected to vote in support of a resolution condemning what they call the latest act of hate.

The Rockland County executive alleges that the county legislature scuttled his choice for human rights commissioner and director of the Office of Community Development for political reasons. And he is firing back with a plan that includes keeping the appointee on the county staff.

Rockland County legislators have sent a letter of support to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for proposed legislation concerning the troubled East Ramapo Central School District.

United Water New York has filed a response to the Public Service Commission’s order for the company to provide information relating to the need for a new water supply source for Rockland County. This comes as United Water has begun preliminary work on a controversial desalination plant.
