Brown Won't Run in Special Election

BOSTON (AP) — Former Republican Sen. Scott Brown won't be running in a Massachusetts special election to fill Democrat John Kerry's seat.

A person familiar with the decision who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to discuss it says Brown will not run.

Brown was defeated in November by Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren. He had won the seat in a special election in 2010.

Political Action Committee Sends Absentee Ballot Mailings for Scott Brown

U.S. Sen. Scott Brown

A political action committee backing Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown is sending out a new mailing telling voters how to cast absentee ballots in Massachusetts.

The group America 360 announced earlier this week that it was ramping up its efforts on behalf of Brown, who is facing a challenge from Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren.

The mailing, which includes forms voters can use to request absentee ballots, calls Brown a "new independent voice" and says Warren is "hyper-partisan" and out of touch.

Massachusetts Senate Candidates To Debate In Springfield

Republican U.S Senator Scott Brown and his Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren will square off tonight in their 3rd  debate in the volatile Massachusetts Senate Race.  WAMC”s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill reports

The debate will take place at Springfield Symphony Hall at 7PM. It is the  only debate being held in the western part of the stat. And, it is the most crucial of the four debates in the opinion of  Springfield based political consultant Anthony Cignoli.
