Voters in Egremont and Monterey, Massachusetts will try again to approve an unchanged regional school budget. 


Mount Everett Regional High School in southern Berkshire County has called on parents to attend an informational meeting to talk with regional trauma specialists about grief and depression. It’s in response to the controversial Netflix series “13 Reasons Why.”

Four educational leaders in Berkshire County have secured a $46,000 Massachusetts Mathematics and Science Partnership grant from the state’s Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Next month, a dozen students from Mt. Everett Regional High School in Sheffield, Massachusetts will be competing in a robotics world championship in St. Louis. WAMC’s Berkshire Bureau Jim Levulis met the team members, including the battery powered ones.

The president of the United Nations General Assembly Vuk Jeremić visited a school Southern Berkshire County yesterday to speak and answer questions from students.

Jeremić arrived at Mt. Everett Regional School in Sheffield via helicopter on Tuesday afternoon. After a luncheon and a meeting with a handful of students at the school’s model United Nations club, he addressed a larger group of high schoolers in the auditorium.
