A historic night for Old Faithful.

Last night in New Jersey, Martin Brodeur bounced back from his shortest postseason performance with a record-setting 24th Stanley Cup playoff shutout, making 26 saves in leading the Devils to a 4-0 win over the Panthers, evening their first-round series at two-all.

In Washington D.C., Alexander Semin's second period power play goal proved to be the game-winner, as the Capitals skated past the Bruins 2-1 to even their series at two games apiece.

Well 60 minutes of hockey wasn’t enough for the Rangers and Senators…

Last night in Ottawa, Kyle Turris netted the game-winning tally just over two minutes into overtime, as the Senators skated past the Rangers 3-2 to even the series at two games apiece.  Sound courtesy of the NHL.       

In Philadelphia, Jordan Staal’s hat trick helped the Penguins pummel the Flyers 10-3.  Philadelphia still leads the series 3-1. 

In Los Angeles, Cory Schneider made 43 saves to lead the Canucks to a 3-1 win over the Kings.  Los Angeles leads this series 3-1.

Well the Devils scored three goals in the first six minutes to chase Florida net-minder Jose Theodore, and they lost!

Last night in New Jersey, Brian Campbell’s second period tally completed the rally, as the Panthers came back to beat the Devils 4-3 and take a two-games-to-one lead in the series.  Sound courtesy of the NHL.   

In Detroit, Pekka Rinne stopped 40 shots between the pipes, as the Predators skated past the Red Wings 3-1 to take a three-games-to-one series lead.

Well the Rangers have regained home-ice advantage…

Last night in Ottawa, Brian Boyle's goal proved to be the only tally of the contest, as the Rangers shutout the Senators in Game 3 1-0.  Henrik Lundqvist made 39 saves for the Rangers, who now hold a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven first round series.

In Washington D.C., Zdeno Chara buried the tiebreaking tally with less than 2 minutes left, as the Bruins beat the Capitals 4-3 to take a 2-1 series lead.

Well the Devils and Panthers are tied at one game a piece...

Last night in Florida, Marcel Goc netted the game-winning goal, as the Panthers skated past the Devils 4-2. The two tangle in Game 3 tomorrow. 

In Philadelphia, Danny Briere, Matt Read, and Max Talbot each scored twice, as the Flyers pasted the Penguins 8-4.  Philadelphia leads the series 3 games to none.

In Detroit, Shea Weber tallied in the first to put the Predators ahead for good, as they beat the Red Wings 3-2.  Nashville leads the series 2-1.

Well the top-seed Rangers opened their first-round series with a win…

Well the NHL playoffs are underway and Philadelphia is off to a 'Flying' start...

Last night in Pittsburgh, Jakub Voracek's tally at 2:23 of overtime completed the rally, as the Flyers stormed back from a three-goal deficit to beat the Penguins in the series opener 4-3.  Game 2 is tomorrow. 

In Nashville, Gabriel Bourque scored twice, as the Predators took their series opener from the Red Wings 3-2.  Game 2 is Friday.
