The Preservation League of New York State is asking legislators to support changes to historic tax credits.

A Central New York Mayor and a Capital Region Congressman are advocating for a new federally funded tool to ensure communities across New York and the U.S. have access to clean drinking water.

The mayor of Syracuse will voluntarily forego campaign contributions from limited liability companies and is urging state lawmakers to close a much-criticized campaign finance loophole.

Syracuse University says embattled men's basketball coach Jim Boeheim will retire in three years. The school's athletic director also has stepped down. The news comes after the school was hit with NCAA sanctions that include a nine-game suspension for Boeheim, head coach since 1976, next season. Boeheim also lost more than 100 wins. His 2003 national championship was unaffected.

In the NBA, the Boston Celtics ended the Houston Rockets' 22-game winning streak five years ago, but they couldn't do the same to the Miami Heat's 22-game run last night. Miami defeated Boston 105-103.

The Heat have now won 23 straight games. Lebron James finished with 37 points, 12 assists and seven rebounds.
