Mass. urges caution on 1st work day since blizzard

BOSTON (AP) — Commuters heading back to work in Massachusetts for the first time since the blizzard are being urged to use caution and leave extra time.

Many secondary roads still have a thick coating of snow, and high snow banks that block sight lines at intersections and near highway ramps make turning and merging hazardous.

Wild weather: High wind warnings for Eastern NY

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — The National Weather Service says wind gusts could top 60 mph in parts of upstate New York as a cold front drives temperatures down from record winter highs and brings expected heavy rain in eastern areas and lake-effect snow to western parts of the state.
